In this role, Peter trains and educates the HWG management and sales force, as well as hotel, restaurant and retail staff in the marketplace. In fact, Peter's training program was a key element and specifically mentioned as a reason for The Henry Wine Group being named "2008 Wholesaler of the Year" by Meininger's Wine Business International.
Peter has become well-known for his wine program consultation for a variety of hotels and restaurants nationwide. He understands the needs of food and beverage operations and delivers a high quality, profitable and award-winning program to his clients.
In addition to his MS Diploma, Peter holds the title of Certified Wine Educator with the Society of Wine Educators (for which he was recognized with the Banfi Award for Excellence in 2003), and has a Diploma in Wine and Spirits from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust in London, and is an Associate of the Institute of Wines and Spirits.
Peter is one of the teaching Masters at the Court of Master Sommelier Intro and Advanced Courses, and is an examiner at the Certified, Advanced, and Master Sommelier Examinations.
In 2003 Peter began the first WSET School in Southern California. Currently, Peter teaches and administers the WSET Intermediate and Advanced Certification programs, run by the Neptune School of Wine in conjunction with The Henry Wine Group. To date he has successfully graduated over 450 students from the two levels combined.
